The McMichael Remembers Lyman Henderson

It is with great sadness that the McMichael shares the news that a tremendous friend and supporter of the gallery, Lyman Henderson, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2012.

Lyman and his wife Ann (deceased August 14, 2009) were long-time supporters and dear friends of the McMichael. Lyman Henderson served on the McMichael Board of Trustees from 1990 to 2000. Ann Henderson was a founding member of the McMichael Volunteer Committee (founded 1985) and as Chair, also served as an ex officio member of the Board of Trustees. Lyman and Ann were Co-Chairs of the McMichael's fourteenth annual Woodchoppers’ Fundraising Ball in 1997. They were always enthusiastic champions and supporters of the McMichael, and Lyman continued to serve as an active and distinguished member of the McMichael Volunteer Committee. His last visit to the gallery was for the McMichael Volunteers Annual General Meeting in April 2012.

Lyman will be sorely missed by all of his McMichael friends and admirers.
