Bonnie Devine, a member of the Serpent River First Nation of Northern Ontario (Ojibwa) is an artist, curator, writer and educator. As artist in residence at the McMichael, she will be creating the Toronto Braid from natural materials found in the Humber River Valley. Conceived as a tribute to the Mississauga First Nation, this site-specific installation will be made and installed on Monday, April 22, 2013 (Earth Day). Book a school visit for that day and your students will have the opportunity to meet and observe the artist at work
