Celebrate Canada Day and the art of Joe Fafard
In celebration of a successful career that spans more than four decades, Joe Fafard, one of Canada's most beloved and nationally acclaimed artists, will be featured at the McMichael on June 28, in a major retrospective exhibition that chronicles the full scope of this remarkable Saskatchewan artist's career.
To celebrate Canada Day and the Joe Fafard exhibition opening, join us for a full day (from noon to 4:00p.m.) of programming (free with admission). Enjoy;
- a sculpture-making demonstration

- guided tours
- live music
- various opportunities to meet Joe Fafard, including a book signing
- Cash Bar and BBQ (BBQ is not included in general admission)
Children will enjoy storytelling and live animals, as well as hands-on arts and crafts modeled on Joe Fafard's early experience as an artist. A supervised outdoor playground and child-care centre will be available for your convenience and comfort.
