Starting with a smudging ceremony at 11:30 a.m., we invite your family to creatively engage in a series of interactive art interventions and workshops. April 7, 2013: Passionate Eye, A Collectors’ Story
Over the years, Jamie Cameron and Christopher Bredt, two well-known Toronto-based legal professionals, have assembled an impressive collection of Inuit and Northwest Coast art. While their holdings include some of the most magnificent pieces by internationally recognized artists, these collectors extraordinaire are not afraid to take chances endorsing the younger emerging generation of creators, and offer them friendship and financial support. Hear about the joys and challenges of their artistic experiences. *Included with gallery admission.

 

Sunday, April 28, 2013: The Artist as Provocateur: Kent Monkman and Other Contemporary First Nations Artists
