Saturday and Sunday, June 22 and 23 (two classes)
10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Part of Studio Courses and Workshops
This workshop is designed for photography enthusiasts who would like to learn more about techniques used by professional nature photographers. Highlighting the use of digital SLR cameras or hybrids, the workshop will be held within the meandering Humber River valley, forest, and grass lands surrounding the McMichael. Technical instruction will be provided to increase drama in your photographs, various methods to photograph birds and other wildlife, along with colour balance and image quality. You will also learn about taking stunning abstract photographs and the details for realistic nature photography, with a brief section on organizing and editing your photographs.
Please bring a DSLR camera or hybrid, a tripod, and the camera’s manual (if possible). It is also important to bring an equipment bag and wear suitable clothing, footwear, and sun protection for outdoor trekking through unmaintained forests and along riverside paths. Rain or shine.
