Celebrating Inuit Art at the McMichael

Inukshuk The opening of three new Inuit art exhibitions offers a perfect opportunity to explore Inuit art inside the gallery and outside on the grounds through tours, GPS hikes, art workshops, and demonstrations. Discover the story of the famous McMichael Inukshuk, as told by its creator, David Ruben Piqtoukun, who is an Inuit sculptor based in Ontario. Learn about various printmaking techniques and create your own stencil or monoprint at our art making stations, while enjoying a musical concert by Paganini Strings.
