Throughout the opening weekend June 29-30, the McMichael will be screening a special selection of films pertaining to both artists in the Theatre.

 

Monday, July 1, 11:00 am to 4:00 pm
Canada Day at the McMichael
1:00 pm – Celebrate Canada with a complimentary serving of our annual birthday cake
2:00 pm – Performance of Canadian fiddle songs by Anne Lederman’s band
11:30 am, 1:30 pm, 3:30 pm – Discover an old-fashioned way of taking photographs with Toronto’s Lomography Gallery Store and experiment with an analogue La Sardina camera
3:00 pm – Learn about the challenges of photographing nature at a special presentation, The Art of Seeing: The View from My Lens by nature photographer Garry Conway, described by Canadian Geographic Magazine as “elegant and visually poetic”

Don’t miss this special opportunity to hear internationally celebrated photographer Edward Burtynsky and enjoy summer brunch on the McMichael Terrace. Afterwards, guests are invited into the exhibition spaces where curator Chris Finn will be available for questions.
