Student Research Assistant: Summer 2013
This position is being offered through the Young Canada Works in Heritage programs grant.
Applicants must be between 16 and 30 years of age and be enrolled in academic studies pre and post the work term.
Term: early July - August 30, 2013
Hours: 35 hours / week
The Research Assistant is a senior Art History or Museum Studies student with a high level of research experience and familiarity with the museum environment. The Research Assistant’s project will involve fresh research and research material that requires English as a first language. Project activities can either take place at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection in Kleinburg, public libraries or other art institutions as needs dictate.
The ideal candidate will be a graduate student or have at least three years of university education in Art History or a specialty in Museum Studies; will be a strong team player, and be able to work independently when required. Familiarity with MS Word, Office and Excel are preferred.
