Kleinburg, ON Nov. 15 …The award-winning Achill Choral Society returns to Kleinburg’s beautiful McMichael Canadian Art Collection on Friday, December 1 2006 at 6.00 p.m. to appear at the public gallery’s second Annual Christmas Concert. The holiday concert, performed by this 80-person choir, will feature a selection of traditional Christmas music.
The McMichael gallery announced today that tickets are still available for this Annual Concert. The Friday evening event is being organized by the McMichael ‘s Volunteer Committee as a fundraising event in support of the gallery’s programs for children.
In addition to the concert, there will be a Silent Auction with many gift-giving items up for sale, and a cash bar. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the concert begins at 7:00 p.m. Ticket price, which includes complimentary parking and refreshments, is $25 for adults and $15 for seniors and students.
About the gallery
The McMichael Canadian Art Collection is an agency of the Government of Ontario and acknowledges the support of the Ministry of Culture. The McMichael is the only public gallery that collects and exhibits Canadian art exclusively. The permanent collection holds close to 6,000 works created by the Group of Seven, their contemporaries and Inuit, and First Nations artists.
