The McMichael Canadian Art Collection is the ideal venue for all your special occasions, be it a meeting, corporate function, a wedding, or a private dinner or cocktail reception. Set amid 100 acres of natural wooded landscape, the gallery’s picture perfect setting, both indoors and out, makes any occasion a memorable event.
There’s the Grand Hall with its cathedral ceiling, and the Founders’ Lounge with its fieldstone hearth and picture windows. There's the McMichael Restaurant, the Meeting House and the Artists’ Studio, a cottage nestled among a wooded canopy of trees.

The McMichael Grounds
Our grounds provide a tranquil setting for your function, including groomed walking trails for leisurely strolls. Amid this natural setting you will find sculptures by well-known Canadian artists, as well as the Tom Thomson Shack, which was moved to the McMichael from its original site in Rosedale Ravine. With its special warmth and charm, this unique facility in the main gallery features wooden furniture and a fieldstone hearth. Accommodates up to 60 guests for formal dinners and stand-up receptions.

Plan your wedding at the McMichael! Take your vows and/or hold your reception in any one of: the Grand Hall, the Founders’ Lounge or the Hilltop. The McMichael Bridal Suite, located on the upper floor of the Meeting House, provides an attractive, relaxing, and complete facility for the bride and her attendants on this very special day. |

Your rental fee includes: basic security staffing; one facilities staff; use of existing tables and chairs; and event set up and clean up.
Additional costs may apply for security staffing for events exceeding 200 guests, security staffing as deemed necessary by the McMichael, extraordinary event set-up and cleaning services, staffed coat check, a/v equipment rentals.
Security staff will be scheduled for each event on the gallery grounds. The number of staff required will be determined by the City of Vaughan Fire Department and based on the facilities used and the number of attendees at any event. The McMichael will determine the minimum number of staff required for an event.
