Communications Coordinator
1 month contract: May 2013

The Communications Coordinator is responsible for the writing, editing and compilation of content for the member journal, annual report, enewsletters, website, press kits, story pitches, donor/volunteer panels, etc. The Communications Coordinator will write and distribute press releases and backgrounders, coordinate media days/previews as required, and maintain up-to-date media list and database. The Communications Coordinator will also be responsible for gathering and reporting on data for the web and other information as required.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor of Arts degree specializing in journalism and up to 3 years experience in a communications, marketing or public relations position. Candidates require superior writing and communication skills with attention to detail, as well as experience working with print and electronic media. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, HTML, and Constant Contact are assets.
